🦃🍁🍂Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍂

Today is Thanksgiving Day🦃 and I'm so full of Glee!

My man's coming home with me!

He'll meet my parents and the rest of my family.

I'm sure he's nervous... I mean how could he not be?

He's coming to pick me up, We have to be there by 3:00.

It just turned 2:30 And I hear the doorbell ring.

Off we go just a few blocks down the street I'm so glad my parents live so close to me.

We made it to my parents house and my mother opens the door.

"Oh my baby!" She exclaims!

"Honey!" she yells for my father and embraces us both! My love and I the same!

"Welcome!" "Welcome!" "Please come in!"

"We've been waiting for you both!" "Come in it's time to eat my dear!"

At the dining room table we behold the ginormous spread.

Turkey and dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes macaroni and cheese, green beans, peach cobbler and pumpkin pie.

I can feel my love staring at me and I turn to look him in the eye.

He leans over and whispers in my ear.

"I know what else is also delicious." Grinning from ear to ear.

"She tastes so absolutely divine."

Everyone else at the table is too distracted by the rest of the family's chatter.

I kick him under the table and he jumps up slightly.

My mother looks over at him and asks.

"What's the matter Dear?"

"Oh, nothing." he replies

"I'm fine." All while giving her a big smile.

Before we eat we bow our heads to say grace.

With my mother leading the way, she begins and sincerely exclaims!

"Dear Heavenly Father, we cannot thank you enough for bringing us together on this very specific and special day!"

"We are able to take time and think about all the things we are both grateful and especially thankful for in our lives."

"We know that all good things come from you and so we take time and thank you for all the good you have given us."

"We thank you for our food, We thank you for our clothes, We thank you for our family, our shelter, and our very lovely homes."

"We thank you for our togetherness as a family and we thank you for our friends!"

"For all the things good and bad that has molded our character to make us who we are today." "The hard circumstances that you have helped us to make it through along life's way."

"We pray also for those who do not have."

"May all those who have a home this day open up and extend to those who do not have, in doing so not only are we blessing others, but as your word says we may even be entertaining hidden angels."

"We thank you for the gift of life and for your son Jesus Christ."

"In Jesus's mighty name!" Amen!"

"Alright time to dig in!" 

"And may we all have a 🦃🍁🍂Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍂 this year and again and again!"
